I am loving your podcasts. Thank you Ronnie. This is such a powerful message. When John showed no repentance towards God after suffering so much, he did seem to have developed a self awareness which caused him to state that he was; ‘no different than a tiger tamed by hunger, and should the occasion change, he would be as wild as ever.’ As you state in the podcast, John was a honest man and this honesty about himself did seem to cause him to realize how wretched he was.
Thanks for listening. One of the things to keep in mind is that the quotes are written in retrospect, journaled many years later upon reflection. Episode 3 will show just what he is talking about as John spirals deeper in wickedness. But there is Hope!
